Production Model
Our production model is innovative in comparison to the traditional ideology of other computer programming companies. As a result, we deliver a complete project that is easy to use, constantly evolving, with unbeatable tools, quick to develop, tested, at a surprisingly low price and with no errors, either in design or in programming. These advantages in the production model of Coresoft Clínico make our solution superior to the features offered by any of our competitors.
The 4 key points are:
- Highly qualified professionals.
- Specialization of work and knowledge.
- Applying industrial techniques.
- Ample experience.

Highly Qualified Professionals
Computer programming is a science that is only a few years old. In fact, it has existed as a university subject for only a few decades. Due to its youth, it is prone to numerous problems. Probably the most significant is the high rate of professional intrusion and the lack of standardization when approaching projects. It is very risky to trust a computer project of any nature, including a medical register, to any “pseudo computer expert” without having a distinct clarification as to who is and who is not a professional computer specialist. Nobody would think of constructing a building without it being signed off by an architect; medicine cannot be practiced without the higher medical studies including residency and internship; no factory would install an assembly line without the supervision of an industrial engineer; and hundreds of examples more.
Nonetheless, in the field of computer sciences these professional requirements are not fulfilled in numerous cases and, in this way, any person or any company with some scientific qualification, or even without one, would endeavor to carry out computer projects.
In view if this situation, the only way to insure that your project is in good hands is to request that the programming company provide references of its knowledge on the subject by showing previous achievements in projects, publications and other relevant certifications. On this matter, Coresoft Clínico has amassed a prolonged experience of more than 15 years in the sector, as well as numerous qualifications and scientific acknowledgements.
Specialisation
Most of the so called computer consultancies take on projects with an extreme global vision and without selecting the sectors that they will act on, meaning that they would produce the same computer programs for Formula 1, for supermarket management or for the registers of the Acute Coronary Syndrome. They do not usually go into details in these particular projects and, therefore, they tackle the problem from a much “computerized” point of view. The result is usually very far from the original expectations and real interests of the client, and not forgetting the tens or hundreds of thousands of euros at which these projects are valued. Finally, after such an excessive amount being spent, the users usually accept this approximation and adapt to the computer programmer despite the application only half working for them.
As a consequence of this classic failure of the standard software companies, many medical professionals learn a little about programming and produce their own and modest medical register programs. These solutions have a better acceptance than the abundant investments that the large computing companies ask for, because they produce results that, in the end, are simple and tailored to the needs of the researcher. Nonetheless, they are technically incomplete approximations, that is, they lack adequate tools.
Since 1999 we at Coresoft Clínico have been aware that the key to success in producing medical registers is specialization, because the practice of medicine itself is a very specialized science. It is practically impossible to successfully take on a medical register without a profound knowledge of the pathology involved and be specialized on the subject in hand. Therefore, the approximations of the large computer consultancies are not appropriate for making medical registers no matter how much money is invested, because the result will never reach the desired levels.
As an example of zero specialization, in about 2004 a multinational computer consultancy, one of the largest in the world, found a way to convince a large part of those using the main register, that Coresoft Clínico was managing, to change their supplier and in this way take over the project themselves. Their commercial strategy had involved the assurance that the specialization in programming was unimportant when it came to leading the project to safe harbour, contrary to the principals defended by Coresoft Cínico. The result for the clients was disastrous. They had parted with 250.000€ to no avail, because the project had to be discarded. On their behalf, the multinational company excused themselves by simply arguing that not all projects turn out right.
Industrial techniques of production
Throughout Coresoft Clínico’s history, our development strategy as a company has been specialization. For this and as an initial step, we set out to create a medical register “factory” with the objective in saving costs and capital, and to simplify the tasks. In 2001 we created our first prototype, which we called CoreTools vs 0.0 after an investment of nearly 500.000€. In its current version of 3.1, CoreTools is a well-oiled “machine” and is constantly evolving giving way to much better medical registers, at a higher speed, at a more reduced price and without errors. In this way, from our prototype we have achieved to combine the advantages of specialization with industrial scale production.
As can be seen, our method of working differs substantially from the rest of the computing companies, who do not take specialization seriously as a development strategy. So therefore, one day they are making a medical register and the next a computer program for a bank. It is logical therefore that they do not invest the necessary sums of money in creating a “factory” for a single program, because the cost would not be viable. They begin their projects from zero without even being able to reuse anything that was made previously. This elevates the total bill of the medical register to several hundreds of thousands of euro without providing satisfactory results.
In short, Coresoft Clínico has invested and will continuously invest in perfecting its “factory” in order to provide the remaining medical registers with higher and better functionalities and capacities. In this way, the mystery unveils as to how our medical registers are far superior to the rest of the competitors whilst costing less. That is why our models give medical professionals the kind of surprise similar to what people probably experienced at the end of the 19th century or beginnings of the 20th century when they saw how the price of clothing went down or how the Ford-T was a more accessible car than other “vintage” vehicles that were on the market
